智库是促进中非人文交流、深化文明互鉴的重要桥梁和平台。2018年，中国国家主席习近平在中非合作论坛北京峰会开幕式讲话中宣布“中国决定设立中国非洲研究院，同非方深化文明互鉴”。中国非洲研究院成立以来，全面贯彻习近平主席贺信精神，努力为推动构建高水平中非命运共同体提供学理支撑、贡献中国智慧。2024年，在中非智库论坛第十三届会议上，中国和非洲学者发表了《中非智库关于深化全球发展合作的共识》，呼吁国际社会深化发展合作，携手走向现代化。中非智库交流合作成为深化互信、凝聚共识、共促发展，进一步推动共筑高水平中非命运共同体的重要力量。
Think tanks serve as an important bridge and major platform for promoting people-to-people exchanges and deepening mutual learning between Chinese and African civilizations. In 2018, while giving remarks at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that “China decided to establish China-Africa Institute to enhance exchanges with Africa on civilization”. Since its establishment, the CAI has been fully implementing the guidelines of President Xi Jinping’s congratulation letter, and committed to providing intellectual support and contributing Chinese wisdom to the building of a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future. In 2024, during the 13th Meeting of the China-Africa Think Tanks Forum, Chinese and African scholars reached the Consensus Among African and Chinese Think Tanks on Deepening Global Development Cooperation, and called on the international community to deepen development cooperation and joint hands for modernization. Communication and cooperation between Chinese and African think tanks have become a major force in deepening mutual trust, building consensus, jointly promoting development and the building of a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.

On April 9，2019，the China-Africa Institute was unveiled by Yang Jiechi, then Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, Xie Fuzhan, President of CASS, Joaquim Alberto Chissano, Former president of Mozambique, and Sarah Anyang Agbor, Commissioner of Department of Human Resources, Science and Technology, African Union Commission.

值此中国非洲研究院成立之际，我谨表示热烈的祝贺！向出席成立大会和长期致力于推动中非友好合作的各界人士致以诚挚的问候！
当今世界正面临百年未有之大变局，中国作为最大的发展中国家，非洲作为发展中国家最集中的大陆，双方人民友谊源远流长，新形势下，中非深化传统友谊，密切交流合作，促进文明互鉴，不仅造福中非人民，而且将为世界和平与发展事业作出更大贡献。
在2018年召开的中非合作论坛北京峰会上，中非双方一致决定构建更加紧密的中非命运共同体，实施中非合作“八大行动”。设立中国非洲研究院是其中人文交流行动的重要举措。希望中国非洲研究院汇聚中非学术智库资源，增进中非人民相互了解和友谊，为中非和中非同其他各方的合作集思广益、建言献策，为促进中非关系发展、构建人类命运共同体贡献力量！

On April 9, 2019, President Xi Jinping said in the letter that the world today is faced with profound changes unseen in a century. As the largest developing country and the continent with the most developing countries in the world, China and Africa have enjoyed a time-honored friendship between their peoples.
Under the new circumstances, China and Africa's endeavor to deepen traditional friendship, boost exchanges and cooperation, and enhance mutual learning among civilizations will not only benefit the Chinese and the African peoples, but also contribute more greatly to world peace and development.
Recalling the two sides’ joint decision to build a closer China-Africa community with a shared future and implement eight major initiatives at the Beijing Summit of the FOCAC in 2018, the establishment of the China-Africa Institute is a concrete step to increase people-to-people exchanges, an important part of the decision.
The institute will help draw on both sides' academic resources, enhance understanding and friendship between the Chinese and the African peoples, and provide good ideas and advice for China-Africa cooperation as well as the cooperation between the two sides and other parties, to contribute to the development of the China-Africa relationship and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
4.五年来，在中非双方共同努力下，中国非洲研究院传播窗口建设成效显著，“三大讲坛”已成品牌项目，深受非洲朋友的欢迎。迄今共举办20届“中国讲坛”、18届“非洲讲坛”、18届“大使讲坛”。
4. Over the past five years, with joint efforts of China and Africa, the CAI has successfully built itself as a channel for people-to-people exchanges. “Three Lectures”, namely “China Lecture”, “Africa Lecture” and “Ambassador Lecture”, organized by the CAI has become a trademark of its own, and been hailed by many of our African friends. By far, the CAI has successfully hosted 20 sessions of “China Lecture”, 18 sessions of “Africa Lecture” and 18 sessions of “Ambassador Lecture”.
5.“中非文明对话大会”旨在为深化中非文明交流互鉴搭建桥梁，是中国非洲研究院重要的对非交流机制。迄今已举办三届。
5.As the CAI’s major communication mechanism to Africa, the Conference on Dialogue Between Chinese and African Civilizations aims to strengthen communication and mutual learning between Chinese and African civilizations. It has been held three times to date.
6.“非洲留学生论坛”是以青年为主角的中非人文交流活动，旨在加强新时代中非青年的交流与沟通，传承中非友好合作精神。
6.The Forum on International Students from Africa is a youth-oriented people-to-people exchange program between China and Africa. It is designed to strengthen the exchanges and communication between Chinese and African youth in the new era. The forum aims to carry forward the spirit of China-Africa friendship and cooperation as well.
7.非洲驻华大使和学者中国行活动旨在增进非洲对中国式现代化成就与经验的认知。
7.African Ambassadors and Scholars’ Field Visit in China aims to help Africans better understand the achievements and experiences of Chinese modernization.
8.五年来，主办各类研修班25项，来自非洲35个国家的1079位学者、官员接受培训，其中包括省部级官员9人，为非洲国家培养了大批专业人才。
Over the past five years, the CAI has successfully held 25 seminars and workshops, with about 1079 government officials and experts from 35 African countries participating, including 9 provincial and ministerial officials. This has helped African countries develop a large number of professionals.
中国古语说：“同心合意，庶几有成。”非洲谚语讲：“一根原木盖不起一幢房屋。”中非媒体合作作为中非人文交流合作重要领域，将始终坚持相互尊重、以诚相待，团结协作、捍卫正义，合作共赢、造福人民，共同讲好中非互利共赢、共同发展的故事，弘扬中非友好合作精神。中非智库合作将持续为加强中非合作、促进共同发展建言献策、凝聚共识，努力促进全球南南合作事业繁荣发展。中非媒体及智库领域将进一步深化合作，共同为推动共筑高水平中非命运共同体作出新的更大贡献。
An old Chinese saying goes, “When united with one heart and one mind, success is secured.” As a key area of China-Africa cultural exchange and cooperation, media cooperation between China and Africa will always adhere to mutual respect, sincerity, solidarity, and cooperation, defend justice, achieve win-win cooperation, benefit the people, and jointly tell the story of mutual benefit and common development between China and Africa, promoting the spirit of China-Africa friendly cooperation. Similarly, cooperation among China-Africa think tanks will persist in providing valuable insights, building consensus, and advancing common development, striving to promote the prosperity and development of global South-South cooperation. Both China-Africa media and think tanks will further deepen their collaboration, making significant new contributions to building a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
